Want to learn more about Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s rescued residents? Now’s your chance to take a picture with a dolphin, create a toy for an otter, and so much more! Discover how our animals live and play each day by building enrichment devices in the classroom, and then sharing them with Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s critters! Campers will learn about animal diets by visiting our food preparation facility and participating in a fish feeding! Your camper will even spend some time interacting with a Clearwater Marine Aquarium dolphin in a meet & greet session! This is one camp experience they’re sure to remember forever! This camp spotlights our fragile estuary ecosystem and its aquatic inhabitants as we explore springs, mangrove tunnels, and undeveloped islands by kayak. Campers will travel by van to area launch sites and paddle their way to different snorkel spots.
Love snorkeling? Want to try SCUBA diving? This introduction to SCUBA combines boating and snorkeling camp and focuses on the use of SCUBA in the marine field. For one session during the week, campers get to put on actual SCUBA gear and dive at CMA! SCUBA session supervised by certified SCUBA instructor – no previous experience required!
Visit and learn about five of Florida’s coastal ecosystems! Explore mangrove and barrier islands by boat and snorkel through sea grass beds. Travel to parks and nature preserves to experience freshwater and swamp ecology. Campers will discuss the different plants and animals we find as we discover the water cycle in action and learn about the Florida aquifer!
Clearwater Marine Aquarium has created combination camps that infuse our popular snorkeling adventures with exciting off-site excursions and enriching classroom activities to provide campers with fun and engaging marine life learning!
